NEW unexpected Cause of Premature Ejaculation – SSRIs
- What's going on guys, in this video... one of the most overlooked or unexpected causes for PE. Which is - ANTIDEPRESSANTS
- Yes, you heard it right.
PE FROM SSRIs or ANXIETY MEDS
- How can you get PE from it, shouldn't it help? Yes.. you probably heard about SSRIs and how they can help with PE, be it antidepressants or anti anxiety meds...
- they make you last longer because of serotonin
- one problem with them is - erection problems
- another problem - PE after discontinuation
- Most guys don't even take it for PE but for depression.
- AND the PE problem begins when some of them STOP.
- Men who never had PE → start having it
- Men who used to have PE → now worse than before
- Reddit report 1: Acquired premature ejaculation after stopping ssri
- Reddit report 2: Premature Ejaculation after cessation of SSRIs
- Reddit report 3: PE now WORSE than before after stopping SSRIs
- Why does it happen? Because your serotonin system is basically fried after the prolonged use of antidepressants. You end up having even lower serotonin levels after SSRIs.
Is it reversible?
- For some people it gets better after a few months. But for a lot of people it seems to be a permanent thing, similar to PSSD (Post-SSRI sexual dysfunction), suffering from PE even years after cessation. What can you do?
- Option A - continue taking them - bad option, low sex drive, ED etc.
- Option B - counteract with Gaba-Ergics or numbing sprays, reduce sensitivity etc.
- Option C - if the system isn't too fucked up, regular methods to last longer which I teach in my coaching program
