Does the way you masturbate — or how much you do it — cause Premature Ejaculation? You’ve probably seen guys on forums blaming pillow humping, excessive porn, or even the fear of getting caught for their PE. But is there any truth to it?
Spoiler alert: it’s all Bullshit 💩..
But bear with me — today we'll debunk everything:
- Can the WAY you masturbate cause PE?
- Can EXCESSIVE masturbation cause PE?
- Can the FEAR OF BEING CAUGHT cause PE?
- Real Causes of PE?
- What can you DO about it?
Let’s dive in.
Masturbation Doesn’t Cause PE. It's your GENETICS.
Let’s cut to the chase: masturbation doesn’t cause PE. The main driver of lifelong premature ejaculation is genetics — not your hand, not porn, not anything else. Guys with lifelong PE finish fast from their very first sexual experience, before they’ve even had time to “condition” themselves with masturbation habits.
Think about it logically: if masturbation caused PE, every guy who jerks off quickly or a lot would have it. But that’s not what happens. Millions of men masturbate daily — some fast, some with porn, some paranoid about getting caught — and they don’t end up with PE. Why? Because they don’t have the genetic wiring for it.
No matter how you masturbate, it won’t tweak your serotonin levels, your hyper-arousability, or the sensitivity of your glans — those are the real factors behind lifelong PE.
→ The point is this: if you could train or condition yourself to finish too early through quick or excessive masturbation, then ALL men would have PE, because MOST men masturbate daily, trying not to get caught.
MYTHS
Let's go debunk all common myths and claims one by one.
1. “PILLOW HUMPING or PRONE masturbation caused my PE”
Nope. There’s no evidence linking how you masturbate — like pillow humping or using objects — to PE. Tons of guys do it the same way and don’t have issues. It’s not the method; it’s your genes.
2. “I TRAINED MYSELF to finish quickly THAT'S why I have PE”
Bullshit again. No studies back this up, and it doesn’t add up. Plenty of men without PE masturbate at lightning speed — sometimes even faster just to get it done — and they’re fine. If quick masturbation could “train” you to finish early, you could also “untrain” it by slowing down. But lifelong PE doesn’t budge, because it’s there from day one.
3. "EXCESSIVE masturbation leads to PE"
Total nonsense. If this were true, stopping masturbation for months would make you last longer — but lifelong PE sufferers see no change. Plus, millions of guys masturbate excessively every day without ever developing PE. The math doesn’t work here neither...
4. "FEAR OF BEING CAUGHT LEADS TO PE"
“Fear of being caught conditioned me to finish fast” - this one is the most stupid of all claims.
If the fear of getting caught during a shameful masturbation could really cause PE, then literally ALL MEN would develop PE
.... because 100% of men WITHOUT exception have had this type of anxiety in their youth or later in life.
..... they had HUNDREDS and thousands of those situations where they had to finish QUICKLY before they could be caught by someone entering the room...
..... yet strangely they do NOT develop premature ejaculation.
Why is that? Again - because lifelong PE kicks in FROM THE START, not after some sneaky teenage sessions which ALL men experienced.
REAL CAUSES of PE
If masturbation habits don't cause PE, what’s to blame then? Well, it depends on the type of PE you’re dealing with:
- Lifelong PE: This is strictly genetic — baked into your DNA. Think low serotonin, hyper-arousability, or an overly sensitive glans. It’s been with you since your first orgasm.
- Acquired PE: This shows up later in life, triggered by things like drug use, medication side effects, quitting antidepressants, or spinal injuries. Still no masturbation in sight.
Your genes or life circumstances are the culprits — NOT YOUR HABITS!
BAD MASTURBATION HABITS
Okay, masturbation won’t cause PE, but some habits can still throw a wrench in your sex game.
- Excessive porn: Overdo it, and your erections will weaken over time. It also sets up unrealistic ideas about sex.
- No movement: Real sex involves motion, but masturbation often doesn’t. You might subconsciously tie arousal to sitting still, which doesn’t help in bed.
- Always going fast: If you only masturbate at top speed, you won’t learn to control your pace during real sex, e.g. going slower if needed etc. — a skill you need to last longer.
- Skipping foreplay: Masturbation is straight to the point, but real sex needs buildup. Without it, you might finish early and leave your partner hanging.

If you’re battling PE and leaning hard on porn, try this:

- Learn the right techniques: In my coaching, phase one lets you masturbate (with or without porn, in moderation) while you master methods to last longer. After that, it’s game on — save your energy for real sex.
